This camera was also sold as the Sears KS-1. A version with a maximum shutter speed of 1/500 was sold as the Sears KS Super, and another with 1/500 shutter and without bulb mode was sold as the Sears KS Super II.

Conclusion: The Ricoh XR6 is a small, light weight, well built camera. The 50mm f2 kit lens, proves to be sharp enough and displays rather decent contrast. Being that the XR6 is a aperture priority camera you will be limited to an extent. Not having full control of the camera can seem like a burden, but having aperture priority makes this camera simple and easy to use for the beginner. Having said that, I have been shooting for years and enjoy the ease of aperture priority cameras. The simplicity, light weight, compact size of this camera would make it a perfect tool for street photography. The only cons I have about this camera would be that it does not allow full manual mode and the lens is built mostly of plastic, although this does not affect the performance. Overall, this is a good, solid camera.
